i've just finished your first novel, scalpel. though i could pick faults and tell you that structurise wise it leaves a lot to be dsired...nevertheless it is a gripping read wit a hospital chase i'd prefer never to have to go through. i'm now looking for your other works. good luck

my boyfriend passed on your novel ambush while we were on holidays and i recognised so many of the places mentioned. it was a very exciting read, though i can't see the irish tourist board recommending it!

Hi paul, I've only read 3 books this past year "Birdsong" by Sebastian Faulks / "Secret History" by Donna Tartt (an amazing writer and a great story) and "Oris and Crake" by Margaret Atwood (Brilliantly written but very depressing) and now I'm reading "Scalpel" and it stands up there with the best of them.
